Connecticut State FOP Scholarship
 
The Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police Lodge awards scholarships each year totaling $10,000.00. The objective is to award twenty (20) $500.00 scholarships. The awards are based upon the eligibility and criteria set forth below.

Eligibility
 
To be eligible for a scholarship award, the recipient must be:
A son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, grandson or granddaughter of a member of The Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police who is in good standing for at least six (6) months prior to application.
Planning enrollment in a diploma, certificate or degree program at an accredited college, university or community college as a full time student.
Must complete and mail the application via certified mail between June 1st and July 1st. NOTE: Awards are limited to one per year per member.
 
Application
 
The application must be completed by the applicant and returned between the dates specified above to:

The application must be:
Signed and dated by the applicant and FOP member
Mailed via certified mail
Mailed between June 1st and July 1st
APPLICATIONS NOT MAILED BETWEEN THE ABOVE DATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
 
Selection
 
The Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police Lodge shall award scholarships based on the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee. The scholarships will be given on a 'first come, first awarded' basis and will close at twenty (20) eligible applicants.
 
In the event that less than twenty (20) eligible applications are received, the Scholarship Committee shall be authorized to recommend a larger amount of award, equally dispersing the $10,000.00 funded scholarship.
 
The check will be sent directly to the college, university or community college upon request from the scholarship recipient when enrollment is confirmed.
